Cousins picks up 18th tech vs. Thunder, earns automatic suspension
New team, same Boogie.
DeMarcus Cousins picked up his 18th technical foul of the season Sunday following a tangle with Thunder center Steven Adams. Unless one of his technicals is rescinded, the Pelicans big man will be suspended for Wednesday's contest against the Detroit Pistons.

Cousins already served a one-game suspension earlier this month after picking up his 16th technical for berating an official.
While he's undeniably one of the best big men in the NBA, Cousins has struggled to control his temper since entering the league in 2010, accumulating 110 techs and 11 ejections over his six-plus-year career.
The 26-year-old is averaging 27.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks, while posting a player efficiency rating of 26.8 this season.
