Thunder's Taj Gibson: Plans to play Friday vs Lakers

Gibson is planning to play during Friday's tilt against the Lakers, Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman reports.

Analysis:

It's still unknown whether or not Gibson will enter the starting five for Friday's game, but it seems likely that he'll receive 20-to-30 minutes considering the team has dealt big man Joffrey Lauvergne in the deal that brought Gibson to Oklahoma City. Gibson is averaging 11.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, and could see very similar numbers on his new team.
