Nuggets' Roy Hibbert: Traded to Nuggets

Hibbert was traded from the Bucks to the Nuggets on Thursday in exchange for a protected second-round pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Hibbert will join his third organization of the season, after opening the campaign as the Hornets' starting center before being dealt to the Bucks earlier in February. The 30-year-old never ended up seeing the floor with the Bucks, as he was buried on the depth chart behind Thon Maker, Greg Monroe and John Henson. While he may not be a regular rotation player for the Nuggets, he'll at least have a slightly easier path to playing time in his new locale, as only Nikola Jokic and Mason Plumlee are ahead of him on the depth chart. On the occasions he does play, Hibbert will likely only be asked to play spot minutes when the Nuggets want a more defensive-minded option down low.
