Grizzlies' Jarell Martin: Sent to D-League

Martin was assigned Wednesday to the D-League's Iowa Energy.

Analysis:

Martin has yet to see the floor in February with the Grizzlies and has clearly fallen out of the team's regular rotation. A stint with the Energy should provide him some added developmental opportunities, but unless injuries occur higher up on the depth chart, Martin won't play in competitive games once recalled to the big club.
