Sixers trade Ilyasova to Hawks for Splitter, picks

The Philadelphia 76ers have traded Ersan Ilyasova to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Tiago Splitter and two second-round picks, as first reported by The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Atlanta will send a 2017 second-round pick swap and a 2017 second-rounder (31-39 protected for this season, unprotected in 2018) to Philadelphia, according to Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

It is now the fifth time in 20 months that Ilyasova has been traded.

The 6-foot-10 forward was acquired by Philadelphia earlier this season in exchange for small forward Jerami Grant. Ilyasova played well during his short stay with the Sixers, averaging 14.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 53 games.

Ilyasova will help to improve Atlanta's spacing and strengthen a Hawks bench that sits 17th in scoring.

Splitter has yet to play a game since last season, when he averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds during his first year in Atlanta. The 32-year-old is currently out with a hamstring injury.

Both Ilyasova and Splitter are on expiring deals.
