Davis pumped about Cousins trade, ASG MVP: 'It doesn't get better than this'
The past few days have been good to Anthony Davis, to say the least.
"This is an unbelievable weekend. All-Star MVP and now getting Boogie. It doesn't get better than this," the New Orleans Pelicans big man told ESPN's Jeff Goodman on Monday with a massive smile on his face.
The 23-year-old hosted All-Star weekend, and not only did he get his first career start in the marquee event Sunday night, but he also scored a record 52 points to earn ASG MVP honors in front of his home crowd.

If that wasn't enough, news broke soon after the game that his All-Star teammate DeMarcus Cousins will be joining him on the Pels.
Cousins will easily be the most talented teammate Davis has had in the pros. AD's only managed to carry the Pelicans to the playoffs once despite his glistening career averages of 21.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals over five seasons.
New Orleans has been looking to surround its star with better players, and suffice to say it's finally delivered, while also forming the league's most formidable frontcourt pairing.
