Raptors' Carroll suffers ankle sprain vs. Bucks

The Toronto Raptors' already slim margin for error took another hit Saturday night, as forward DeMarre Carroll suffered a left ankle sprain against the Milwaukee Bucks, and will not return.
Carroll landed awkwardly and rolled his ankle on a scrum under the Bucks' net in the third quarter, staying on the ground for several moments before walking off under his own power and heading straight to the locker room.
The Raptors, who are already without Kyle Lowry for at least four weeks, can ill afford a protracted absence to another rotation player.
Carroll struggled offensively against the Bucks, shooting just 2-of-7 from the field and 0-of-4 from 3-point range. But he did a solid job with a tough defensive assignment in Giannis Antetokounmpo, scrapped for loose balls, and came down with two offensive rebounds.
