Trail Blazers' Al-Farouq Aminu: Another spectacular effort off bench

Aminu generated 14 points (5-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt), 15 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 39 minutes in Monday's 109-104 overtime loss to the Hawks.

Analysis:

The seventh-year forward posted his fourth double-digit scoring effort in five February games, as well as his second double-double in the last three contests. The key to Aminu's recent offensive outburst has been his proficiency from long range, as he's drained multiple treys in four of the last five games and shot 46.7 percent from behind the arc during that span. Whether Aminu can keep up the pace remains to be seen, but his current spot on the second unit -- which is still affording him over 30 minutes on many nights -- seems to be doing plenty for his overall production.
