Trail Blazers' Maurice Harkless: Near double-double in overtime loss

Harkless provided 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 32 minutes in Monday's 109-104 overtime loss to the Hawks.

Analysis:

Harkless was making his second straight start in place of the injured Evan Turner (hand), who is expected to be sidelined until mid-to-late March. The 23-year-old struggled to provide much of an impact in Friday's loss to the Celtics, but was much better Monday, turning in one of his better all-around performances of the last two-plus months. Harkless was a quality complementary producer in a starting role earlier this season before his fantasy value began to hit the skids due to his declining three-point shooting, so if he can continue to regain some of the long-range accuracy he displayed back in November and December, he could make for a quality pickup in mid-sized or deeper leagues, especially with Turner out for multiple weeks.
