Parsons begs ball to go in hoop after another rough shooting night
Chandler Parsons continues to struggle mightily in his first season with the Memphis Grizzlies as he continues to work his way back into form following offseason right knee surgery and an early-season left knee bruise.
He entered Monday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs averaging just 6.7 points while shooting 35.9 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range, all career lows. Things didn't improve much Monday, as he clanked his way to three points on 1-of-10 shooting.
After the game, seemingly out of answers, Parsons turned to the age-old practice of imploring an inanimate object to cooperate.
Dear basketball,

Please go in the hoop babe.
Best,
Chandler
Hey, whatever works.
The 28-year-old is in the first year of a four-year, $94-million max deal, and he - not to mention, Grizzlies fans - is clearly growing impatient.
