Watch: Pierce's final shot in Boston had Garnett yelling at his TV set

USA Today Sports

"The Big Ticket" Kevin Garnett and "The Truth" Paul Pierce accomplished quite a bit as teammates during their six-year run together with the Boston Celtics, guiding the franchise to an NBA championship win in 2008 and another finals appearance two years later.

When Pierce took the floor at TD Garden one more time Sunday afternoon as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, Garnett's eyes were glued to his television set to watch it all unfold.

The Celtics faithful erupted when the 39-year-old veteran reentered the fray with 19.8 seconds left, and as he hoisted up a 3-pointer for his final attempt ever in the building, Garnett shouted "for the people!" from his home, followed by a "my dude" after it fell through the hoop.

"Always. Always when you need him," KG added. "Pure magic. Real talk. Respect."
