Paul Pierce was feeling the love in Boston.

The veteran swingman, who was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1998, spent 15 years with the franchise and will go down as one of the greatest players to ever suit up in green.

In his final game in Beantown on Sunday, as a member of the visiting Los Angeles Clippers, Pierce got a starting nod and enjoyed a video tribute and several chill-inducing chants from the Celtics faithful.

"These great fans, they truly appreciate what I've been able to do for this franchise and I just really feel the love, and I'm thankful to be able to come in here one last time," Pierce said following the Clippers' 107-102 loss.

He scored his first and last bucket in the dying moments of the game, ensuring he never went scoreless in Boston. He was happy he was able to do that for the crowd.

"They just showered me with love today," the 10-time All-Star said. "I'm truly grateful to be able to play with the best fans in the world for 15 years. They truly showed it tonight."
