Popovich ties Jerry Sloan's record for most wins with one franchise
Following the San Antonio Spurs' 102-86 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at the AT&T Center, only one other head coach in NBA history can say they've won as many games with a single organization as the great Gregg Popovich.
Working the sidelines in the Lone Star State for his 21st season, Popovich tied legendary Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan in that department Thursday night when he collected his 1,127th career win with the Spurs.
Popovich remains the seventh-winningest coach (regular season) of all time, 94 victories behind Sloan, who went 94-121 in three seasons guiding the Chicago Bulls.

The Spurs take the floor again Saturday at home against the Denver Nuggets, where they'll look to string together a third win in a row and get Popovich past Sloan for the single-franchise record. San Antonio has won 12 of its last 13 meetings with Denver.
