Rip Hamilton: Coaches warned me about Bulls' front-office snitch

It appears the Chicago Bulls have had concerns about a locker-room spy for quite some time.

After reports surfaced Wednesday suggesting there was snitch in the team's locker room, former player Richard Hamilton has come out and said he was also warned about the rumored snitch - assistant coach Randy Brown - when he came to Chicago in 2011.

"One of the coaches, assistant coaches, spits out, 'Randy (Brown) has nothing to do with this team, he doesn't need to be around the players,"' Hamilton said on CBS Sports' NBA Crossover. "Looked at every man that was in that film session and pretty much told them, 'Hey, don't listen to him. When he comes and talks to you, don't listen to him.' And for me, as a veteran guy just coming from Detroit, I was like, 'What is going on around here?' Because every conversation I had with Randy was always good, was always love. So it's kind of like a situation where, like, man, I don't know what's going on between management and the coaches. And now, as you see, it's coming out again."

Brown was hired by the Bulls in 2009, later getting promoted to assistant general manager in 2013. The 48-year-old was then named to Fred Hoiberg's staff last season.

A number of current players are reportedly concerned about a front-office spy, including Jimmy Butler, who has reportedly warned incoming players of Brown's intentions.
