Forget teammate goals, because the Toronto Raptors' backcourt of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry are the definition of friendship goals, period.
DeRozan - one of the starting guards for the Eastern Conference All-Stars this year - wasn't in uniform for the Raptors Tuesday night due to an ankle injury. In his absence, Lowry carried the team to a 108-106 overtime victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, drilling a contested jumper during the dying seconds of the extra period to secure the win.
In the tunnel leading into the team's locker room at Air Canada Centre was a waiting DeRozan, who embraced his good buddy with a giant hug to celebrate his all-important bucket.
Lowry even jokingly told DeRozan that he contemplated doing the Sam Cassell "big balls" dance on the court.
Well, maybe next time.
