76ers match last season's win total ... in 1 month
USA Today Sports
With a win over the Sacramento Kings on Monday night, the Philadelphia 76ers wrapped up their January slate of games, winning 10 of them.
The number is only significant for the East's 13th-place team (18-29) because last season they won 10 games - in the entire season.
The Sixers owned a 10-72 record last year, the second-worst mark in franchise history. Their only worse campaign came in 1972-73, when they managed a measly 9-73 record.
By comparison, the league-leading Golden State Warriors (41-7) won 12 games in January, while LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers won seven to open 2017.
