Watch: Carmelo's dagger seals Knicks' win over Hornets

USA Today Sports

New York Knicks faithful at Madison Square Garden weren't always receptive to Carmelo Anthony's play throughout the night Friday against the Charlotte Hornets, as the nine-time All-Star struggled with his shot to the tune of just eight makes on 26 total attempts (30.8 percent).

One of those makes, though, came when the Knicks needed it most, as Anthony drilled a step-back jumper with 13 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to put his side up by four on the scoreboard, 109-105.

New York held on for the 110-107 victory for its second win in three games, with Anthony notching a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds in 35 minutes.

With all of the trade rumors concerning his immediate future in the Big Apple, it's feel-good moments like this that remind everyone that Anthony's tenure with the franchise hasn't been all bad.

Not great, mind you, but not all bad.
