Thunder's Enes Kanter: Undergoes surgery Friday

Kanter (forearm) underwent successful surgery Friday to repair a fractured right ulna in his forearm and will be reevaluated in four weeks, Erik Horne of the Oklahoman reports.

Analysis:

Kanter paid a mighty price for taking his frustration out on a bench chair during Thursday's win over the Mavericks, as he'll now be sidelined for at least a month while recovering from the procedure. A report from Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski previously projected a six-to-eight-week timetable for Kanter's recovery, and that could still be in play given that the center will still need time to regain conditioning and take part in practices even if he's deemed fully healthy once he's reevaluated at the end of February. For the duration of Kanter's absence, look for coach Billy Donovan to disperse the big man's minutes among frontcourt rotation options Steven Adams, Domantas Sabonis, Jerami Grant and Joffrey Lauvergne.
