Report: Wade, Butler frustrated at MCW, Mirotic

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls' locker room is a mess.

There's an open war of words playing out between veteran leaders Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade against the team's younger players, and vice-versa, while Rajon Rondo is also somehow in the mix.

According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Butler and Wade specifically seem to be upset at two players: Nikola Mirotic and Michael Carter-Williams.

Both Mirotic and Carter-Williams have been disappointments this season relative to their potential. Mirotic is having the worst year of his career in his third season since coming over from the Spanish league, while MCW is posting career-low totals across the board.

Mirotic has mostly been featured as the backup to Taj Gibson off the bench.

In theory Mirotic could stretch the floor for slashers like Wade and Butler to get to the rim, but he is shooting 30 percent from beyond the arc. MCW has been mostly unusable save for on defense and has been relegated to the deep bench in favor of rookie Jerian Grant.
