Report: Kanter could miss 6-8 weeks with self-inflicted forearm fracture

Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter was forced from Thursday's outing against the visiting Dallas Mavericks due to an injury he gave himself.

Heading to the bench during a break in play in the second quarter, Kanter decided to throw a punch at his chair out of frustration before taking a seat.

Kanter was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game due to what was originally diagnosed as an injured wrist. He finished with four points and four rebounds in nine minutes.

Head coach Billy Donovan told reporters after the game that the 24-year-old actually fractured his right forearm, with the injury expected to sideline him for six-to-eight weeks, league sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Oklahoma City went on to beat Dallas 109-98, improving to 28-19 on the season.
