Report: Pistons want prospect, 1st-rounder for Jackson

The Detroit Pistons are aggressively shopping point guard Reggie Jackson, looking for a young player, a first-round draft pick, and an expiring contract in return, sources told The Vertical's Chris Mannix.

The Pistons have reportedly had Jackson on the block for the past couple weeks in the lead-up to Thursday's trade deadline, most recently engaging in talks with the Orlando Magic.

The return the Magic were reportedly offering involved two veterans in forward Jeff Green and point guard D.J. Augustin. Green is an expiring contract, but the young player and draft pick were absent from that package.

Pistons president and head coach Stan Van Gundy has been open that his team has struggled since Jackson returned from knee tendinitis in December, while Jackson has expressed frustration over the team's inability to find an offensive identity.

The 26-year-old has seen a dip in production after a career year a season ago, but is still averaging a solid 15.2 points and 5.6 assists with a 15.7 PER.
