L2M: Wizards assistant should've received tech for distracting Knicks' Lee
The Washington Wizards appear to have gotten away with one in Thursday's contest versus the New York Knicks.
According to the league's Last Two Minute Report, Wizards assistant coach Sidney Lowe should've been assessed a technical foul for standing on the court during the Knicks' final possession.
Courtney Lee said following the contest that Lowe's tactics distracted him from taking an open three - a shot that would've tied the game had it gone in.
"I was watching Carmelo (Anthony), thinking he was going to shoot the ball but he drives and then the ball comes to me," Lee told reporters, including SB Nation's Kristian Winfield. "I see (Kelly) Oubre in front of me, but right here (to my right), I'm hearing 'I got your help, I'm right here, I'm right here.'"
"I then came to find out it was their coach standing next to me saying that. So I'm thinking that he's a player so I drive and tried to make a play."
The Knicks would go on to fall 113-110 to the red-hot Wizards.
