Spurs' Popovich ejected for berating official

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was ejected from Thursday night's contest against the Denver Nuggets for berating official Bennie Adams.
Popovich received back-to-back techs late in the second quarter after arguing a foul called on Davis Bertans.
The 67-year-old wasn't the only one in the organization who saw his night end early, as big man Pau Gasol was forced out of the game after suffering a broken finger during warmup.
Assistant Ettore Messina took over head coaching duties with Popovich gone.
Popovich's dismissal didn't appear to have much of an effect on the Spurs, as they went on to win 118-104.
