Knicks' Joakim Noah: Questionable Wednesday with ankle soreness
Noah is listed as questionable to play Wednesday against the Celtics with a sore left ankle.
Analysis:
Noah had been battling a sore shoulder in recent days, but it's now a sore ankle that's hampering him in advance of Wednesday's contest. The veteran didn't participate in shootaround, but the team will wait until later in the day to officially rule him in or out. If Noah is ultimately held out, expect Kyle O'Quinn and Willy Hernangomez to take on larger roles, particularly if Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) misses another contest. Coach Jeff Hornacek hinted that once Porzingis returns, he could take over as the starting center, which would push Noah out of the lineup in the process. Now that he's dealing with an injury in addition to being at risk of moving to the bench, Noah's fantasy value seems to be on the downswing.
