Jae Crowder, John Wall fined for postgame scrap
Boston Celtics small forward Jae Crowder and Washington Wizards point guard John Wall have both been fined for their recent dust-up at the end of Wednesday's contest, via ESPN's Marc Stein.
Wall was slapped with a $15,000 sanction, while Crowder received a $25,000 fine for attempting to escalate the situation after leaving the court.
It's unclear how the incident started, but Wall appeared to take exception after Crowder stuck a finger in his face.
While tempers ran high at the time, both teams downplayed the situation afterward.
"Just some altercation. We knew there was going to be some trash-talking," Wall said. "We knew it was going to be a physical game. That's all it was: Just a little trash-talking and a physical game."
It is the second fine of the season for Wall, and the first of Crowder's career.
Boston ended up winning the game 117-108.
