Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder and Washington Wizards point guard John Wall exchanged unpleasantries after the final buzzer marked the conclusion of the Celtics' 117-108 win Wednesday night.

It's unclear what either was choked about, but Wall certainly didn't take kindly to Crowder sticking a finger in his face during the heated confrontation, which soon pulled in players on both sides.

Nor did the teams finally leaving the court spell the end of the brouhaha. Things continued in the tunnel and outside the locker rooms, with the teams needing to be separated by security, CSN's J. Michael reports.

At some point, Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas - who scored 20 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter - walked by and said, "They can't f--- with a real killer," according to Michael.

Wizards forward Otto Porter, meanwhile, called the Celtics a dirty team. Thomas disagreed.

"It's not us. I know that," Thomas told reporters when informed of Porter's comments, according to ESPN's Chris Forsberg. "We ain't gonna be running and telling. That's what we're not going to do. But we're not a dirty team. That's not what the Celtics are about. We play hard. So if playing hard is dirty, then I guess we are a dirty team. But there was no dirty play. I didn't see none. It's just a lot of chatter. That's what guys do."

Wall wouldn't bite when asked about the kerfuffle.

"Just some altercation," he said. "We knew there was going to be some trash-talking," Wall said. "We knew it was going to be a physical game. That's all it was: Just a little trash-talking and a physical game."
