Lillard suggests he and Russell can settle beef off the court

It's safe to say that Damian Lillard and D'Angelo Russell aren't too fond of one another.

The Portland Trail Blazers point guard and his Los Angeles Lakers counterpart got into a heated exchange in the third quarter of Tuesday's contest, leading Lillard to call out Russell for his dirty antics after the game.

"After he blocked my shot, I was walking to my spot and I felt like he went out of his way to get that elbow in there," Lillard told Bill Oram of the Orange County Register. "I told him that ain't gonna fly. And I wasn't interested in anything else that was said after that."

Still upset with Russell, Lillard suggested the two could settle their dispute off the court.

"We ain't going to do it on the court," he said, "so we'll be in the back and whatever happens happens."

The confrontation appeared to have a positive effect on Lillard's play, as the two-time All-Star finished with 20 points after a miserable start to the game.

"He poked the bear," Lillard said, "and you (saw) what happened the rest of the game."

Lillard's Blazers face the Lakers again Jan. 25 in what could be another hotly contested battle.
