Watch: Bucks escape as Ginobili's game-winning attempt hits side backboard

Father Time is catching up to 39-year-old San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili, who's averaging just 7.9 points per game (lowest since his rookie season 15 years ago) and shooting a career-worst 37.7 percent from the field.

But Ginobili also came into Tuesday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks shooting 41 percent from 3-point range - the second-highest mark of his career. And so, on the game's final play, with the Spurs trailing by two, when Ginobili ran a beautiful fade pattern to the left corner, caught a kickout pass from Kawhi Leonard, and let it fly with less than a second left on the clock, it seemed a decent bet the Spurs were about to make off like bandits at the buzzer.

Instead, his wayward shot found the side of the backboard, and the Bucks - who played all but nine minutes without Giannis Antetokounmpo - picked up a huge road win.
