Jazz's Alec Burks: Joins five-game road trip
Burks (ankle) will travel with the Jazz for their upcoming five-game road trip which begins Monday against the Nets, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Analysis:
Burks is still awaiting his season debut while recovering from offseason ankle surgery and the long rehab process that went along with it. The Jazz's road trip concludes Jan. 8 against the Grizzlies, so we'll likely see Burks make his debut at some point within the next week. Expectations should be tempered for Burks, as he'll likely face heavy restrictions upon returning and will have to settle for a limited role off the bench with George Hill, Rodney Hood, Shelvin Mack and Joe Johnson potentially ranking ahead of him in the pecking order at either guard spot.
