Kings' Rudy Gay: Will attempt to play Monday

Gay (hip) will attempt to play in Monday's game against the 76ers, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Gay has missed the last six games with a right hip strain, but it looks like he's finally ready to get back on the court. That said, there's still an outside chance that the Kings end up keeping Gay on the sideline for another game if he experiences any discomfort during warmups. We'll track Gay's status leading up to game time, but for now, consider the forward probable for a return.
