Clippers' Blake Griffin: To undergo arthroscopic surgery Tuesday

Griffin will officially undergo arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to remove "loose bodies" from his right knee and is still expected to be sidelined anywhere from three-to-six weeks, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.

Analysis:

Griffin reportedly met with doctors Monday to make a final decision on how he should proceed with the injury, but as expected, they've opted for a scope to clear the knee of some loose bodies. He's expected to miss at least the next three weeks, which would put a return at some point in mid-January at the earliest. While coach Doc Rivers has yet to announce who he'll go with in the starting lineup, the team opted to go small last year with Luc Mbah a Moute at power forward, which would likely provide guys like Austin Rivers, Alan Anderson and Wesley Johnson some added minutes. That said, both Marresses Speights and Brandon Bass could also see an uptick in playing time in the frontcourt as well against some of the league's bigger lineups.
