76ers' Nerlens Noel: Will not be in Sixers' rotation Sunday

Noel won't be included in the 76ers' rotation during Sunday's game against the Nets, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

After Noel publicly expressed his displeasure after receiving just eight minutes in Friday's loss to the Lakers, he met with coach Brett Brown to hash out his role with the 76ers going forward. While Brown said his decision to keep Noel out of the rotation wasn't a reaction to his outburst Friday, it seems the 76ers are more or less acknowledging that they aren't enough minutes to go around between Joel Embiid, Jahlil Okafor and Noel, all of whom are best suited to play center rather than alongside one another. Noel is a prime trade candidate and seems like a good bet to be dealt before the deadline, but until that happens, he's little more than a long-term stash in deeper leagues. Unless Embiid or Noel incur foul trouble or miss a game for rest or injury, Noel isn't expected to get anything more than spot minutes in non-competitive games.
