Harden notches Rockets record 15th career triple-double
It was a record-breaking kind of night for the Houston Rockets on Friday.
On top of launching an NBA record 61 3-pointers - and making an NBA record 24 of them - the Rockets got another triple-double from guard James Harden, who hit six of those threes and finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists.
It was Harden's second consecutive triple-double, his sixth of the season, and his 15th as a Rocket, breaking a tie with Hakeem Olajuwon for most in franchise history. Harden, of course, has a considerably higher triple-double-to-games-played ratio, having reached 15 in just 341 Rockets games. Olajuwon's 14 came in 1,177 contests.
The way he's racking them up, Harden might've ended up with the record even if this were his only season in Houston. He's on pace to finish with 18.
