Walton was ejected in the first quarter, leading to a barrage of swear words from the 36-year-old first-year bench boss, who was apparently incensed that a DeMarcus Cousins foul on Julius Randle went uncalled.
In the wake of the fine, Walton said he won't hesitate to defend his young team.
"(If) our guys aren't getting ... treated right, I'm going to stand up for them," he told The Los Angeles Times' Tania Ganguli on Wednesday.
"I was raised that team is a family, you stand up for your brothers. As a head coach that's what I'm going to do every time for my guys."
The Lakers visit the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
