Wolves' Thibodeau wins in return to Chicago
Nineteen months after he coached his last game for the Chicago Bulls, Tom Thibodeau returned to the United Center on Tuesday night as bench boss of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
While Chicago fans gave him a warm welcome, no love has ever been lost between the coach and Bulls management, who forced Thibodeau out in the 2015 offseason after years of head-butting over player usage.

Yet, Thibodeau got the last laugh Tuesday. His Wolves handed the Bulls one of their worst losses this season - the 99-94 score deceptive based on Chicago starting the game on a 26-6 run. From then on, the Bulls were outscored 77-56 in the final three quarters, shooting 24 percent from the floor. Dwyane Wade was even ejected in the last minute of the game.
Still, Thibodeau said he felt no extra satisfaction in beating the Bulls, according to the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson. "We needed a win," Thibodeau said.
That they did - it was only the Timberwolves' seventh victory of the season. We suspect Thibs will enjoy the Bulls' loss, too.
