Given his extensive injury history, any ailment that befalls Derrick Rose is bound to induce some angst, but the New York Knicks point guard said there was "nothing wrong" with his back before returning from a two-game absence Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rose suffered back spasms early in the week, missing games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings. An MRI revealed no structural damage, and he went through workouts over the weekend.

Rose, who played in the first 21 games of the season before the back issue cropped up, pointed to New York's medical staff as a driving force behind the mostly healthy start to his Knicks tenure. In the process, he seemed to throw the Chicago Bulls' staff under the bus.

"This is the most information I ever got in my career about my body and how I need to maintain how I'm playing and maintain my strength," Rose told reporters, according to Begley.

"The way my body is, one little thing can set my body off."

The Knicks will hope he can avoid one of those little things, as Rose had just started to come into his own after a bumpy start to the season. In his last 10 games before the injury, he averaged 18.8 points and 4.9 assists, and the Knicks went 7-3.
