Grizzlies' Marc Gasol: Logs double-double in Tuesday's win
Gasol finished with 26 points (9-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 34 minutes in Tuesday's 96-91 win over the 76ers.
Analysis:
Gasol followed up his triple-double in Tuesday's double-overtime win over the Pelicans with another outstanding stat line, as he continues to impress as the Grizzlies' go-to weapon on the offensive end following the long-term back injury to point guard Mike Conley. More encouraging than his increased efficiency from the field and improved scoring is the fact that Gasol has now tallied double-digit boards for two games in a row, after having done so only three times in his other 20 appearances on the season. If Gasol can continue to provide a regular impact on the glass, he could rank among the top fantasy centers for the duration of Conley's absence.
