Spurs' Tony Parker: Aggravates thigh injury in Monday's win

Parker took a knee to the left thigh area in Monday's 97-96 win over the Bucks and could be in line to sit out Tuesday's tilt with the Timberwolves, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Analysis:

Parker had missed the Spurs' preceding two games with what was labeled as a knee injury, but it was apparently a left thigh contusion that was responsible for his absence. With the veteran point guard suffering a setback in Monday's game and providing only six points and five assists in 18 minutes, it seems likely that the Spurs could err on the side of caution and keep Parker out for the second half of the back-to-back set. Official word on that front may not come closer to game time, but if Parker is indeed out, rookie Nicolas Laprovittola would be the most likely candidate to replace him in the starting five. Reserve Patty Mills would presumably still handle the bulk of the duties at point guard, however, thereby making him a more attractive DFS option than Laprovittola, who is typically third on the depth chart when all of the Spurs' options at the position are active.
