Donatas Motiejunas: Offer sheet matched by Rockets

Motiejunas had his recent four-year, $37 million offer sheet from the Nets matched by the Rockets on Monday, Adrian Wojnarwoski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Motiejunas has spent the last four seasons with the Rockets, but due to some lingering back issues, the two sides were unable to come to deal on an extension earlier this past offseason. However, after finally garnering interest elsewhere in the form of an offer sheet from the Nets, the Rockets finally caved and matched that offer, which brings Motiejunas back into the fold. Motiejunas isn't expected to be available in Monday's game against the Celtics, but once back with the team, he should slot in as a member of the regular frontcourt rotation. Motiejunas has spent the majority of his four-year career at power forward, so his added presence likely means a slight decrease in value for guys like Ryan Anderson, Montrezl Harrell and Sam Dekker.
