Nuggets' Gary Harris: Expected to resume practicing soon

Harris (foot) is expected to resume practicing in Denver at some point during the Nuggets' current six-game road trip, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports. "I think [Harris is] ahead of schedule," coach Michael Malone said. "I don't want to say anything that would be off-base. I don't know if he's going to be able to play at the end of this road trip. Maybe when we get back. I know that our medical staff has been very pleased about how he's progressed with his rehab and his on-court work."

Analysis:

Harris has been sidelined for the past 11 games with the sprained right foot, after a groin injury had kept him out for the first four contests of the season. He's since ditched the walking boot on his foot and has been able to take part in an extended warmup ahead of the Nuggets' past two games, so it looks like Harris is close to taking full contact. The Nuggets will remain on the road through Dec. 12, so Harris should get at least a practice or two under his belt before then and could return soon thereafter.
