Nuggets' Will Barton: Likely for Friday

Barton (ankle) is likely to play Friday against Houston, Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Barton has been absent from three straight games in addition to missing 11 of the past 14 games for the Nuggets due to a lingering ankle injury. He was able to participate in practice Tuesday, which is encouraging that he'll suit up Friday. However, if he continues to be sidelined, expect Jameer Nelson to hold down the starting shooting guard position while Jamal Murray sees extra time off the bench.
