Report: Pistons' Bullock to undergo knee surgery, out 2-4 months
Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Bullock will undergo surgery to repair a left meniscus tear, with his recovery time set at two to four months, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania, citing sources.
The injury occurred during the second quarter of a 107-84 loss to the Miami Heat on Nov. 23, with no timetable set for his return until now.
He missed the start of the 2016-17 campaign with back spasms, making his debut on Nov. 18 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Four appearances later, and Bullock is back on the shelf once again.
Head coach Stan Van Gundy should be able to compensate for his absence while he's away from the team.
Kentavious Caldwell-Cope will continue to see a majority of the minutes at shooting guard, while Darrun Hilliard will experience an uptick in his playing time coming off the bench.
Bullock is averaging four points and 1.3 rebounds on 43.8 percent shooting in 10.5 minutes per game.
