'On my radar': Curry won't rule out playing for hometown Hornets

Dell Curry might have some company down the line.

At the moment, impending free agent Stephen Curry doesn't plan to play anywhere other than the only franchise he has ever known in the Golden State Warriors. But in an interview with Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer, he didn't rule out a return to his hometown of Charlotte sometime down the line.

"It's on my radar," Curry said, "But it's not really on my mind as much day to day ... obviously I had a strong tie to Charlotte and would have loved to play there. I'm very comfortable in that city. It's hard to say exactly what the situation will be this summer."

Curry owns a house in the area and his parents live in Charlotte, although Dell doesn't meddle in his children's decision-making, according to Fowler.

In the very same interview, Curry made it clear Golden State will be his preferred destination when he enters free agency next summer.

"Obviously I love it here in the Bay Area," he said. "It's all I've known in the league. And if the situation is right going forward, this is a place I would love to play."

Curry also said last August that he hopes to finish his career with the Warriors.
