Mavericks' Devin Harris: Expected to practice Tuesday

Harris (toe) is expected to take part in practice Tuesday, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

The injury-plagued Mavericks had only 10 healthy players during Monday's 96-91 loss to the Spurs, but are hopeful that reinforcements may soon be on the way. In addition to Harris, Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) and Deron Williams (calf) are expected to practice Tuesday, while Andrew Bogut (calf) remains hopeful that he'll be able to play Wednesday against the Clippers. Considering that Tuesday will mark Harris' first practice since the preseason, he's a far less likely candidate to play Wednesday, but if the session goes well, the veteran guard could be cleared to make his season debut at some point after Thanksgiving. Harris would likely slot in as the Mavs' fourth guard upon his return, with Williams, Wesley Matthews and Seth Curry all presumably ranking ahead of him in the team's rotation.
