Spurs to rest Aldridge, Parker vs. Mavericks

The San Antonio Spurs are resting power forward LaMarcus Aldridge and point guard Tony Parker for Monday night's contest versus the Dallas Mavericks, according to Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com.

Patty Mills will start at the point in Parker's absence, with rookie Dejounte Murray handling the backup duties.

Parker has seen his role diminish this season, averaging 9.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 2.1 rebounds in 25.9 minutes per game.

Aldridge is averaging 18.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his second year in San Antonio.

Backup center Dewayne Dedmon has also been ruled out of Monday's contest, according to Paul Garcia of Project Spurs.
