Report: Pelicans waive Goodwin, close to signing Anthony Brown

The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly waived guard Archie Goodwin, league sources tell The Vertical's Shams Charania.
The Pelicans are also reportedly close to signing former Los Angeles Lakers small forward Anthony Brown to fill the 15th roster spot, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Goodwin appeared in just three games for New Orleans, averaging 5 points on 40 percent shooting. The 22-year-old is averaging 6.2 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists for his career.
With Jrue Holiday back in the lineup and Tyreke Evans set to return in the near future, the Pelicans did not have enough room in their backcourt to keep Goodwin going forward.
Brown, meanwhile, averaged 4 points and 2.4 rebounds for Los Angeles in 2015-16.
