Raptors set franchise record with 44-point trouncing of Hawks
Kevin Sousa-USA TODAY Sports
The Toronto Raptors' 128-84 victory over a reeling Atlanta Hawks squad Saturday marked the team's biggest margin of victory in franchise history. The 44-point win surpassed the previous record of 42, set most recently against the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 21, 2014.
With the victory, Toronto pulled into a virtual tie for first place in the Eastern Conference, just a few percentage points behind the Cleveland Cavaliers. That should make Monday's home showdown against those very Cavs - losers of three in a row - all the more interesting.

DeMar DeRozan led the Raps with 21 points Saturday, and is now only six away from 10,000 for his career.
