Utah Jazz power forward Derrick Favors will miss at least one game, and likely more, after an MRI revealed a bone bruise in his left knee Wednesday.

He's been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Chicago Bulls, and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis moving forward.

Favors' knee had been giving him trouble for some time. He started the season dealing with IT Band Syndrome, which limited him to just one preseason game and held him out of the Jazz's regular-season opener. The team closely monitored his minutes when he returned, limiting him to just 24 per game.

He'd ramped up all the way to 36 minutes in a win over the Orlando Magic on Friday, but had to be removed early from the Jazz's next two games due to soreness. He played just six minutes Saturday against the Miami Heat, and 21 minutes (while sitting out the entire fourth quarter) on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 25-year-old, whose mobility has been hampered when he's been able to suit up, has averaged 10.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and one block through 11 games.
