Rockets' Eric Gordon: Set to start Wednesday

Gordon will start at shooting guard in Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Gordon started the first six games of the season before shifting to the bench last week in favor of Corey Brewer. Gordon returned to the starting five Monday against the 76ers, and he'll remain in the lineup again Wednesday, with coach Mike D'Antoni indicating that Gordon will serve as the primary defender on Russell Westbrook. Patrick Beverley (knee) is expected to make his season debut Thursday against the Trail Blazers and immediately settle back in as the starting point guard, however, which means Gordon will likely shift back to the second unit as the team's sixth man going forward.
