Mavericks' Deron Williams: Questionable for Wednesday

Williams (calf) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.

Analysis:

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said earlier in the week that Williams had a chance to return Wednesday after showing improvement with his strained left calf, but he still might be on the doubtful side of questionable. On a more positive note, it looks like Williams is at least being evaluated on a day-to-day basis now, so a return within the next few games could be forthcoming. If Williams remains sidelined for Wednesday's contest, J.J. Barea would likely pick up another start at point guard.
